The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) organizes the Annual Nigerian Economic Summit in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
The summit provides Nigerian entrepreneurs an opportunity to pitch their start-ups to experienced investors and obtain great feedback and possibly capital.
The Startups Pitching Event which is a part of the summit aims to connect new Nigerian ventures seeking to raise funds with potential investors.
The 2019 Nigerian Economic Summit with the theme of ‘Breaking Barriers For MSMEs’, will hold on October 26 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
Ten selected early-stage startups that are registered in Nigeria and have been doing business for no more than five years will be invited to pitch in front of venture capitalists and investors.
Each start-up will have five minutes to pitch to prospective investors and 10 minutes to answer questions from them.
Applications are open to businesses that have been running for five years and less and are registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The requirements for application are:
– CAC Certificate of Incorporation,
– Business Plan Summary of not more than three pages
– Pitch Deck
