The Development Bank of Nigeria is set to hold the maiden edition of its Annual Lecture Series, themed – SURVIVING TO THRIVING: MSMES AS THE KEY TO UNLOCKING THE INCLUSIVE GROWTH IN AFRICA
The Annual Lecture Series is a thought leadership initiative which provides a platform for robust exchange of ideas to meet the challenges and opportunities that exist in the MSME segment of the economy.
The central objective of this lecture is to broaden the understanding of the challenges and critically examine practical steps to resolve some of the obstacles that constrain growth within the MSME segment.
This initiative is open to all Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), Commercial and Micro-finance Banks, Policy Makers & Regulators.
The Annual Lecture Series is to hold on July 29 at Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja by 10am.
The keynote speaker for this event is Dr. Donald Kaberuka, African Union High Representative for the Peace Fund and Former President & Chairman, African Development Bank
The special guest of honour for this event is Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria
The guest presenter for this event is Dr. Mansur Muhtar, Vice President, Country Operations, Islamic Development Bank
The Managing Director, Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN), Mr Tony Okpanachi, who has stated that it is necessary to ensure that MSMEs are adequately financed in order to contribute immensely to the Gross Domestic Product of Nigeria is the host of this event.
