Access Bank has been awarded the friendliest healthcare SME bank at the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) 2019 which held at Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos.
The NHEA is an initiative of the Global Health Project and Resources in partnership with Anadach group.

Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, Head of Sustainability at Access Bank said: “We are extremely honoured to be receiving this award. On behalf of the bank, we say, thank you and we are grateful for this recognition.”
“Access Bank has an unwavering commitment to significantly improve the health sector in Nigeria. Therefore, as a bank, we have studied the health sector and identified inadequate financing as a causal factor for the poor healthcare system in Nigeria.”
“This discovery encouraged the bank to create products that can solve the financing problems of healthcare SMEs.” Victor-Laniyan added
Ayodele Oloyede, Head of Emerging Businesses at the bank said SMEs have been identified as one of the key drivers of economic growth through their contribution to employment and wealth creation.
“We also know that good healthcare is important to productivity and that is why Access Bank supports Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as part of its measures to help boost the Nigerian economy.” Oloyede added
